This terracotta sculpture is a portrait of origin. Terracotta, with its earthbound warmth, reminds us that even the most microscopic structures are made of the same elemental matter that forms mountains, riverbeds, and the clay beneath our feet. By shaping a cell from earth, I’m collapsing scale: the microscopic becomes monumental, the unseen becomes touchable.

I present this terracotta cell as a reminder:

We are not separate from nature; we are extensions of it.

We are not observers of life; we are participants in its ongoing cellular conversation.

And every breath, every interaction, every ecosystem we inhabit begins with the quiet, persistent work of cells.

This sculpture is a tribute to that humility and that grandeur.
